play to learn part 2

  • Name of the game that taught you the MOST about its learning topic: Save the Animals
  • Why was it so effective? That the player can go and help the animals in the beach.
  • What social issue or educational topic does the game explore? Beach Pollution
  • What can you learn from this game? Many animals get sick or hurt when polluting oil into the ocean.
  • What game genre is it? Do you think this genre is a good choice for creating a learning game? Why or why not? This game is adventure and you need to go find the animals that are covered in oil.
  • Design Analysis (Does it look good? Does it clearly illustrate the issue or learning concept?)
  • The drawings are good to represent what they mean.
  • Usability Analysis (Is it clear what you need to do as a player? Does it work well?)
  • Yes, the game works well and you know what to do it has clear instructions.
  • Suggestions for improvement. How would you change the gameplay to make the learning and play experience work together better? Putting more trash that player can find for extra points.
  • List 2-3 things that you would like to learn how to do (in terms of functionality, design or content)p
  • How to make things move
  • multiple screens
  • how to add sound
